Laura and Matt's Engagement!

This past weekend was amazing. Friday night we played SCATTEGORIES, a game that makes you think harder and faster than any other game I've played before. It was fun sitting around the table with Jess & Jessie, Laura & Matt Hughes, & my Matt, just laughing hard and enjoying the night. Oh...and I almost forgot, Laura played her new CD for Matt with the three gorgeous songs that she recorded as a suprise to him. Matt absolutely ADORED it! I love seeing those two together...finally.
Okay okay okay, now Saturday...just as fun...well maybe more fun! Emily Haralson, a woman from our ward, invited us to her SUPER fun birthday party down at Smith Park Saturday afternoon/evening. Matt and I DOMINATED the first game of three-legged race (but how hard could that really be when your competitors are pregnant!?) Then we had a blast in the obstacle course that Emily and her husband David set up, again our team won BUT this time we had one soon to be mommy on our team! The final game we played, and totally lost, was kickball. Throughout the whole birthday party, adorable, cute, angelic, little Asher (Emily's baby) was smiley and in a complete state of contentment! I'm not quite sure yet how they produced a perfect baby, and by perfect I mean perfect, but they basically did!
WELL, as much fun as the birthday party was, Matt and I came home to a phone call that was PACKED with fun news. It was Laura and MAN was she happy! Matt Hughes and Laura had driven out to Boise, ID earlier in the day for a suprise that Matt had planned months in advance. "I JUMPED OUT OF A PLANE!", Laura was so excited to tell us all about how Matt had taken her sky diving and...here's the best part so brace yourselves...Matt proposed to her when they landed! YAY! Such a happy day!
I have tons of pictures from this weekend BUT I CANNOT find the cord that connects the camera to my laptop (huff). Matt and I will continue the search for it and hopefully find it ASAP!

Our Wedding

Our wedding day was the most amazing day we could have asked for. Warm sun graced the day and beat down on the thin fresh blanket of snow allowing the baby blossoms of tulips to poke through. Our families from Utah and Massachusetts surrounded us with overwhelming joy and support. The sealing was perfect, more than we could have asked for. A tremendous amount of work went into the luncheon and it was beautiful. The reception was amazing. It was so nice to see everyone, friends and family, and to hear all of their loving words. The memories of that day will be with us forever. We are so grateful for all of the work and love that our families put into making that day so special for us. We love you all! :)
