Birthday Dinner and Flowers

Matt took me out to dinner for my birthday. It was awesome. Yummy Applebees! Mom sent the gorgeous flowers that we still have in our living room. It is amazing that these flowers have looked new for over a week now. :)

This was fun. I got these boots from D.I. and they just happen to be my size ;)

Sketch!

This is our new addition. SKETCH! He's every bit of a puppy; he bites/chews, runs a lot, takes naps, etc. He's so much fun!

Matt was playing with one of Sketch's favorite toys, a stuffed raccoon. Well, thanks to Sketch, all of the stuffing has been removed.

I had the flu over the weekend, no fun! While attempting to take a little nap, Sketch decided to cuddle up and join me. :)

LOVE HIM!

big STRETCH

Hjelm Family,
We LOVE our gifts! We laughed so hard when we opened these shirts. We wore them to classes today, it was fun. They came out great and they fit perfectly! I absolutely LOVE the bracelet. The charms are just adorable and I love that they are all about hair design. These Christmas presents were most definitely memorable! WE LOVE THEM!
P.S. Matt says, "Hayden, THE JETS STINK!". :)

FIFA 2011

Lately, Matt has been really into this game on his iTouch called FIFA. He's been craving soccer and this little electronic game is the closest he's been able to come to playing. Today, after getting ready, I started to look for him and this is where I found him; playing in the corner, up against the wall so that his iTouch could charge and he could play. It's the funniest thing really. How can you not laugh at this?! HAHA. I love him to pieces :)

Avocado Gelato

These are old pictures, but fun pictures! We recently hung out with one of Matt's old mission companions and his brother and their girlies. It was a lot of FUN!
We ate authentic Italian pizza and then indulged in gelato.
Matt was feeling adventurous and ordered AVOCADO GELATO. Interestingly enough, it was mmmm mmm gooood.
Then we went to "Savior of the World" at the Conference Center. We loved it.
Temple Square was beautifully lit up; the trees were all dressed up in bright lights.
We had a great night. :)

It's Christmas Time

Our first Christmas married and we are having a lot of fun! I wanted our first tree to be fun and so I chose to do a food theme. Sarah came over one night and helped us string popcorn. Tonight we made tons of cookie ornaments! There are still many more things to do :).

Here are the cookies before we attacked them with sprinkles. Matt was a master at making the holes so that we could hang them.

We took the art of these cookies very seriously...
You can't have fun without making a mess, right?
That's me...the famous cookie decorator. HA
Here's the stud at work.
We decided that being serious was overrated and decided to eat some decorations.
We made many, many, many cookies...some were "accidentally" eaten by Matt. :)

CHRISTMAS TREE

This little guy is named "Fern Gully". He is our real tree.

Matt was thinking deeply about how he should make each branch look. In the end, he did a great job.

My job was to put the branched on the tree after Matt "floofed" them for me.
Matt's last look over.
